San Diego Harbor features 23 square miles of smooth, protected waters. The bay and the Pacific Ocean beyond offer a wide variety of sailing excursions.

  • Go on a Navy sight-seeing tour and encounter aircraft carriers, submarines, fighter jets and helicopters. San Diego Bay is the proud home of the Pacific fleet.

  • Watch a glorious sunset over the Pacific Ocean and then cruise along the downtown waterfront under the lights of the San Diego skyline and majestic Coronado Bridge.

  • Pack a picnic and head for a scenic anchorage. Try Coronado's Glorietta Bay or La Playa behind Shelter Island

  • See whales, dolphins, seals and a wide variety of birds on a cruise to the Coronado Islands in Mexico, just 12 miles to the south of Point Loma

  • Dock-and-dine at the many excellent waterfront restaurants.

  • Get a guest slip on the Embarcadero, then spend the night enjoying downtown San Diego's Gaslamp District or watch a ballgame at the new Petco Park.

  • Take a weekend cruise up the coast and visit the scenic harbors at Mission Bay, Oceanside, or Dana Point.
